A very electrical week
This past week all of the electrical work in our house was completed. All of the wires, outlet boxes, and light fixtures were put in. We also got most of the duct work put in, the water lines and other plumbing related pipes were set, and all of the inspections were completed on the electrical work, plumbing and framing. Next up (whenever the crazy wind stops) will be the siding and (regardless of the weather) the drywall. This house will be finished before we know it!!

All of the windows are in!!
It is amazing to us how much progress is made on the house every week! This week all of the windows were put in, the front porch posts were set, the electrical work was started, the stairs were put in and locks were put on the doors. We are very excited that each week the move to the new house is closer and closer. We just can't believe that next year our stockings will be hung on the fireplace that will be set in the living room next week! It is just so cool!!
The front of the house. You can see the new windows, the posts for the porch and, if you look closely, a doorknob!!
The entry way (and Ellie) from the front door. You can see our stairs too!!
The entry way. Through the doorway is the kitchen.

Ellie's bedroom (with Ellie!). This was taken while standing in her closet.
Jack-Jack's room. Directly across the hall from Ellie.
Guest room (we hope to have MANY, MANY visitors!!).
View of the entryway from the upstairs.
P.S. We also have a basement, which will go unfinished for a few years. This is where I will have my laundry room. It's too dark and too scary down there for me to go down there to take pictures right now.

The Walls are Framed.
So, here is the progress that has been made on our new house in the past week. The builders framed all of the walls downstairs and upstairs. I can't wait until the stairs are put up so that we can get up there and see the bedrooms more closely. We are so excited about everything, and can't wait to move in.
This is the mudroom - right off the garage (which is where I was standing when I took the picture).
The living room, the fireplace has been framed in too!
The kitchen pantry.
The morning room.

The view of the entry way from the front door. The stairs will be where the big boards are laying on the floor. Off to the left is the study and off to the right is the formal living room, which we will make into a playroom for now.

It's a REAL house!!
Hi! The builders have made a TON of progress over the past week! We can't believe we have an actual house now!!
The view from the curb.
The windows are sitting in the future playroom. I'm standing in the future study/office.
The window is in the future dining room, and the sliding glass door is in the future kitchen.
The morning room (at the very back of the house) and in front of that is where the kitchen table will be.
The future family room. At the very end of the room is where the fireplace will be.
Through that space is where the deck will be.
***For Dave and Aileen - quality control!
View upstairs (the stairs aren't in yet) where our room will be.
The other side of the upstairs.
Family on the future front porch.
Happy Daddy and Jack-Jack.
Ellie being silly!
