Day 17: February 28, 2011

Rain, rain, go away!! Ellie was singing this song to Jack at this moment in time. We woke up to a horrific (some might have said awesome, but if you know me, you know I would never say that) thunder storm this morning. Ellie promptly decided that she and Jackie needed to be comfy and picked out these fleece shirts for them to wear.

A couple bonus pictures (a sort of penance for not having a new picture to post yesterday)...
Jack chewing on his remote controlled car. Me getting a close up and personal view of the fact that the floors desperately need to be swept. Oh well...
Ellie on the verge. Take this girl to the bath and to bed pronto!!

Day 16: February 27, 2011

A very tired girl. This is not a picture taken today, but is so cute (in a sad way) that I HAD to share it. I promise a brand new picture tomorrow. See you then.

Day 15: February 26, 2011

Lying in wait. It's snack time, so the paci gets to rest, quietly, on the table.

Day 14: February 25, 2011

A downward glance. This reminded me of something my friend, Carmela (who is by far a much better photographer than I am) would take. I would never have thought of this angle on this object without her influence. I think it looks pretty cool, though.

A bonus picture: Another room of the house, the sun room.

Day 13: February 24, 2011

And the pictures are hung by the fireplace with care. In hopes that good taste and good fun will also be there...

Day 12: February 23, 2011

Smoke in the air = albuterol in the lungs? One can hope.

I know some may be hoping for more pictures of the actual house. I promise I will get to those...when it's ready. I've got 353 days left.

Day 11: February 22, 2011

New house, new bath for swimming in. The girl couldn't be happier. I may be biased (let's face it, probably), but I think Ellie looks stunning in this picture. Good thing she's not Medusa - I can't stop looking at those eyes!

Day 10: February 21, 2011

Left behind. A boy on the move can only play with a single toy for so long...

Day 9: February 20, 2011

A finished porch rail. The porch rail wasn't finished when we moved in, but it was finished this week. I think it looks beautiful, and can't wait to put some rocking chairs out there and enjoy warmer weather (whenever it arrives)!

Day 8: February 19, 2011

A house warming present. A lovely Ponytail Palm. I'm excited to have my first live plant for the new house!

Day 7: February 18, 2011

A new house and a new year for my boy! He really got after that cake! It was such a mess!

Day 6: February 17, 2011

A pile of paper in the garage. I wonder if we will ever be able to park a car (or even two) in there. How many trees do you think the packers are personally responsible for killing??

Day 5: February 16, 2011

A girl and her Pops coloring in a new toy room. Something you see and are so happy about. It makes you wish he'd had time to do things like that with you when you were a girl, but also makes you so glad that he has time now to do them with her.

Day 4: February 15, 2011

Breakfast before school. Nothing better.

Day 3: February 14, 2011

The beloved drill has been located! Those of you who know Dan at all, know what a big deal it was for us to find his drill. It was packed away with the garage stuff in Salt Lake and he has been complaining about it ever since. He has his drill, and his manhood back again!

Day 2: February 13, 2011

The box and paper are on the front porch and not in the house. It is progress.

Day 1: February 12, 2011

One of many...

A gorgeous and dreaded site. We're so excited to be moving into the new house. We really can't wait to make it our home.

Final Walk Through

Our final walk through was on February 10th. Here are some pictures of the house just before we moved in. As you can tell by the title of the blog, I'm going to transition this blog into a Project 365. It will be a challenge, but I'm going to try to post 1 picture per day for the first year of our life in this new house. I think it will be fun. The first couple to come shortly.
