The Walls are Framed.

So, here is the progress that has been made on our new house in the past week. The builders framed all of the walls downstairs and upstairs. I can't wait until the stairs are put up so that we can get up there and see the bedrooms more closely. We are so excited about everything, and can't wait to move in.
This is the mudroom - right off the garage (which is where I was standing when I took the picture).

It's a REAL house!!

Hi! The builders have made a TON of progress over the past week! We can't believe we have an actual house now!!

The windows are sitting in the future playroom. I'm standing in the future study/office.
The window is in the future dining room, and the sliding glass door is in the future kitchen.
The morning room (at the very back of the house) and in front of that is where the kitchen table will be.

Through that space is where the deck will be.

The walls are going up!

Here are some pictures of the progress on our house. They have started to frame out the walls, and it is really starting to take shape, and is so very exciting!! We were happy to drive by this week and see all the work being done. This week they will finish framing the rest of the house, and then the roof will go on. Let's all just hope and pray that the weather holds out until the roof is on. Just a little while longer!!

We have a window!

It's in the basement, but still, it's a window. We also have our footings and cement foundation walls. Next week we are expecting them to coat the cement run the water, septic, gas, etc. lines and they are scheduled to start framing the walls on Thursday. I'll take more pictures when they start putting up the walls.

Foundation Walls

This is going really quickly. Dan and I stopped by the house site again today and this is what we saw. It's crazy how fast they are putting this all together!!

Let the Games Begin!

The builders started digging the hole for the foundation of our new house today. It's pretty exciting to see the process starting! Dan and I will keep you updated as the progress continues. It should move pretty quickly now. I can't believe we will be living in a new house soon!!
This is what the lot looked like on Sunday when we took Tessa and William over to see it.
And this is what it looked like today! What a difference a few hours of work can make!! They should be pouring the foundation tomorrow, so I'll take pictures of that too.
The guy driving this equipment was no joke! He was amazing and was working so quickly!

Just want to let you know that we are starting the excavation of your foundation today. We should complete it in one day and hopefully start the footers tomorrow. I will take a couple of pictures today for you if you can’t stop by early. Please come by any time and have a look at things.
