Can't you just FEEL how hard he was pulling on that camera strap?

Photo 113

I love the impish look in his eyes and the ballet slippers on his feet.

The next few pictures are a few shots I took while Jack and I were playing the other day. He wanted my camera, and I wasn't going to give it to him. In this picture he got close!

Okay, so this is the shot that I really liked, but I had to show you the quantity and size of the fish that we were feeding. It was incredible. I have never seen carp like this before in my life.
The carp. Can you believe this?

Another "no flash" shot. I had to beg him to let me use this. He hates being in pictures!

Photo 103

This week I've been playing with "no flash" photography. I find it tricky (at least with my camera because the shutter stays open longer, so if the subject moves, the picture is blurred), but rewarding when you get a shot that you like. I know a lot of my friend photographers really like shooting with natural light only, and I am beginning to understand why.

I love these trees. They are huge and have these beautiful, big flowers on them. The flowers look like they are laying right on top of the leaves. I will have some of these trees in my new backyard. Oh, yes, I will have some of these trees.

"What did you say, Dad?"

Mardi Gras Madness. Okay, so it's not Mardi Gras, but the boy loves him some bead necklaces. You all must know, by now, of Ellie's dress-up obsession, but did you know that every time that dress-up box comes out Jack heads for the beads? Well, now you do.

Left for Lunch. Fridays (at least during the summer) are my Momma and Ellie days. This past Friday Dan and I took her out to lunch on her special day. Before we left the house to go get Daddy from work, Ellie took off her princess crown and princess shoes and left them in the middle of the kitchen floor - just like this. I did nothing to these items except take a picture. She is just too funny!
