A girl on her own. This shot exhibits perfectly how independent Ellie is becoming. For a mother, particularly one who is independent herself, it is a beautiful (and yet sometimes sad) thing to watch. I want her to need me and I want her to learn and become confident all at the same time. She's growing so fast. She's so smart and so funny. I have been truly blessed to have this girl in my life.In this picture I "antiqued" the color. Still exploring and playing. One of my friends uses a color edit similar to this in her pictures, which I usually LOVE, but she has a secret about keeping bright colors bright that I don't have yet. Just think about how much cuter this picture might be if those magenta pants and blue basket were vibrant. Well, I just have to keep learning and experimenting.
